From SGD 31. Launched in 1980 and barely changed since, the safari is LAMY's most recognisable pen and one of the best-selling fountain pens in the world.

The safari changed what people expected from a fountain pen. Before it, fountain pens were for senior executives and collectors. The safari made the fountain pen everyday — affordable, robust, and available in colours that actually reflected personality.
The design holds up: a triangular grip section that corrects pen-hold naturally, an integrated clip, a steel nib that's smooth enough for beginners and reliable enough for daily writers. Every year LAMY releases special edition safari colours — distinctive shades that go beyond the permanent range. These are the ones pen enthusiasts track and collect. Once they're gone, they're gone.
Current special editions include Pink Cliff and Violet Blackberry — both in the signature safari form. The Deelite series (Aqua Sky, Light Rose, Spring Green) brings an even lighter, pastel palette. 2. LAMY AL-Star — Safari in Aluminium
From SGD 52. Everything that makes the safari great, machined from anodised aluminium. Lighter than it looks, more durable than plastic, and significantly more satisfying to hold.

The AL-Star keeps the safari's triangular grip and steel nib but adds an aluminium barrel that transforms the feel completely. It's noticeably more substantial in the hand — not heavy, just present. The anodised colours have more depth than painted plastic: they glow slightly rather than sitting flat.

3. LAMY Vista — The Transparent safari
From SGD 31. The Vista is the safari in clear polycarbonate — same body, same nib, same price. The difference: you can see the ink through the barrel.

Demonstrator pens — pens with transparent bodies — exist so you can see the mechanism and the ink in action. The Vista makes the safari's internals visible: the cartridge, the converter, the ink as it moves. It's a pen for people who find the writing process as interesting as the result.
The Vista is identical in price and performance to the safari. It comes alive when filled with a coloured ink — the transparent body becomes a display window for whatever colour you're using. It's the best way to explore ink colours and the most satisfying way to use a converter.

Designed by Gerd A. Müller in 1966 as part of LAMY's commitment to Bauhaus principles, the 2000 was conceived as a pen for the year 2000 — which was then 34 years away. The design arrived so completely resolved that it has remained unchanged. That almost never happens.
The 2000 Fountain Pen Black (SGD 350) is the one to start with: a Makrolon fibre-glass body with a brushed stainless steel section, a hooded 14k gold nib, and a piston filling system that takes ink directly from a bottle. No cartridges, no converters — just ink. The writing experience is unlike any other pen at this price: smooth, consistent, and satisfying in a way that's difficult to describe until you've tried it.

The LAMY 2000 is piston-fill only — it does not take standard cartridges. You fill it from an ink bottle. This is a feature, not a limitation: the ink capacity is enormous and the filling ritual is part of the appeal.

The Dialog CC solves a problem fountain pens weren't supposed to solve: a fully retractable fountain pen, no cap required. A twist mechanism exposes and retracts the nib.
