Cityluxe offers specialist Korean Hangul pen engraving in Singapore. Our laser equipment is calibrated for the curved, modular strokes of Hangul — ensuring characters remain sharp and legible on metal and lacquer pen barrels. We regularly engrave Korean names, phrases and dedications for personal gifts, anniversary presents and corporate gifting.

Can you engrave Korean Hangul on any pen? 모든 펜에 한글을 새길 수 있나요?

Not all pens are suitable for Hangul. The rounded, composite syllable blocks of Hangul require fine-line computerised laser engraving — mechanical rotary engraving cannot reproduce the stroke precision accurately. The best results come from metal barrels (Parker Jotter, Kaweco AL Sport, Sheaffer 100) and lacquer barrels (Parker Sonnet, LAMY Studio). We will advise the best option for your chosen text.

Can I engrave both English and Korean on the same pen? 영어와 한글을 같은 펜에 새길 수 있나요?

Yes. Mixed-script engraving on a single barrel is common — a name in English on one side and the same name in Korean on the other, or a Korean dedication below an English name. Bilingual layout design is included as part of the digital proof process at no extra charge.

How many Korean characters fit on a pen barrel? 펜 배럴에 한글을 몇 글자나 새길 수 있나요?

Hangul syllable blocks are compact, so a standard Parker Jotter barrel can accommodate approximately 5–8 syllable blocks comfortably. Longer barrels (Kaweco Sport, LAMY Safari) may accommodate up to 10–12. We show the exact layout in the digital proof — you can adjust the text before we engrave.

한글 음절은 비교적 작기 때문에, 표준 Parker Jotter 배럴에는 약 5~8음절을 편안하게 새길 수 있습니다. 더 긴 배럴(Kaweco Sport, LAMY Safari)에는 최대 10~12음절까지 가능합니다. 디지털 시안에서 정확한 레이아웃을 확인하신 후 조정하실 수 있습니다.

No minimum. We engrave from a single pen. For Korean corporate gifting batches — each pen personalised with a different Korean name — we handle variable-name batches with no additional setup charge per name.
