According to feng shui, a traditional Chinese practice of arranging objects to promote harmony and balance, displaying a large open bowl with a touch of gold is believed to bring good luck and prosperity. Our wealth bowl meets these requirements with its wide size and gilded rim, making for an elegant addition to your home.
The 2023 edition of the wealth bowl features a playful rabbit bounding across its 24K gilded central medallion, while a frieze of the twelve animals from the Great Race encircles it.
For display, a crimson composite resin stand is included, featuring stylized waves, rocks, and clouds.
Folk tales recount the oriental zodiac's origins with the story of the Great Race, called by the deity the Jade Emperor to assign each year in the 12-year cycle an animal in the order they reached him by crossing a river. First past the post was the Rat, then the Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Ram, Monkey, Rooster, Dog and Pig.
