We send a digital proof for your approval before any engraving begins. No minimum order — engrave one pen or a corporate batch.

Can any pen be engraved with Chinese characters? 任何钢笔都可以刻汉字吗？
Not all pens are suitable. Chinese Hanzi requires fine-line computerised laser engraving — mechanical rotary engraving cannot reproduce the thin strokes accurately. Laser works best on metal barrels (Parker Jotter, Sheaffer 100, Kaweco AL Sport) and lacquer barrels (Parker Sonnet, LAMY Studio). Plastic barrels are generally not recommended.

Do you engrave Simplified or Traditional Chinese? 可以刻简体字还是繁体字？
Both. Send us your text in whichever script you prefer — 简体字 (Simplified, used in mainland China, Singapore, Malaysia) or 繁體字 (Traditional, used in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau). We engrave directly from your text — no conversion is applied.
简繁体均可。请直接将您要刻写的文字发给我们，无论简体字（中国大陆、新加坡、马来西亚通用）还是繁體字（台湾、香港、澳门通用），我们均可原样雕刻，不做转换。
How many Chinese characters can fit on a pen barrel? 笔杆上能刻多少个汉字？
This depends on the barrel diameter and length. As a guide: a standard Parker Jotter barrel accommodates 4–6 characters comfortably; a longer Kaweco Sport barrel may hold up to 8. We provide a digital layout proof before engraving so you can see the exact character size and placement before committing.

Standard: 3 working days after digital proof approval. Express same-day collection is available at our Sims Drive WorkRoom (601 Sims Drive #04-05) — subject to slot availability. Contact us to confirm before placing an express order.

Is there a minimum order? 最低订量是多少？
No minimum. We engrave from a single pen. For corporate batches (e.g. Chinese New Year gifts, employee name engraving in Chinese), we engrave each pen with a different name — no additional setup charge per name.
无最低订量限制，单支笔即可接单。企业批量订单（如新年礼品、员工姓名刻字）每支笔可刻不同名字，不额外收取每支设置费。
