The "Sole" Limited Edition roller ball pen was designed by Milan based Italian designer Alessandro Mendini. Since "sole" means sun in Italian, the design uses a bright yellow lacquer background and red suns with a hole drilled into the center of each one. "ALESSANDRO MENDINI FOR ACME" is laser engraved on the clip. The edition number is placed on the top of the cap. Only 500 pens of this design were made. No more will ever be produced.
