Review: Monteverde Ocean Noir

My swatch of the Ocean Noir brings me vivid images of the deep blue ocean. The depth of the blue is often associated with royalty, loyalty but also mysterious at times.

Regardless of how you see blue, one thing is for sure – Ocean Noir makes you want to stare at it for a good few seconds. I seldom say that about blues, but it had my attention at first glance, peering into the deep blue trying to figure it out.

Ocean Noir has a strong voice – in a very assuring, safe kind of way. It is like a soldier by your side, offering protection, surety, and beaming with honour.

Maybe that’s why the royals like blue?

Reliability is a strong suit — the ink does not change from Day 1 to Day 30. To my surprise, despite all the blues I have in my ink collection – I didn’t find any
hue close to the Ocean Noir.
