The name “SE” comes from the French word "seul", meaning “only” or “unique,” reflecting both the individuality of each pen and its refined, European-inspired design.
First introduced in 1963, the Vanishing Point was the world’s first retractable fountain pen and remains unmatched in innovation and performance. With a simple click, the nib extends or retracts, combining practicality with the luxurious writing experience of an 18-karat gold nib, enhanced with rhodium plating for lasting beauty and corrosion resistance.
